Wilhem · Halifax, Nova Scotia

Fullstack developer.
I build it, host it, and keep it running.

I’m a 22-year-old developer with seven years of hands-on experience running Debian Linux servers. I take products from first commit to production — the application, the servers, the network they sit on, and the maintenance after launch.

Selected work

Products I own and operate, and sites I’ve built or fixed for others. Everything below is live right now.

TikPlays

Founder — design, development & hosting

tiktok.shibalabs.live

A platform that turns a TikTok Live stream into a game the audience controls. Viewer gifts, follows, and chat messages trigger events inside real games in real time — supply drops in Rust, boss summons in Terraria, nukes in BO2 Zombies.

I built the full system: the TikTok Live event pipeline, game integrations across seven titles, OBS overlays, text-to-speech with moderation, Spotify song requests, and the subscriber dashboard that ties it together.

  • 7 game integrations
  • Real-time event pipeline
  • OBS overlays
  • Stripe billing
  • TTS & moderation
  • Spotify integration

ShibaLabs CAPTCHA

Founder — design, development & hosting

captcha.shibalabs.live

An invisible CAPTCHA service that protects websites from scraping and automated abuse without showing users a puzzle or checkbox. Traffic is scored silently in the background using machine learning, so legitimate visitors are never interrupted.

It detects bots with 99.98% accuracy at under 50ms response time, integrates through a simple API in minutes, and collects no personal data. This page runs it — you just passed it without noticing.

  • 99.98% detection accuracy
  • <50ms response time
  • Zero user friction
  • GDPR compliant
  • API integration

Sweet n’ Salty

Client project — design & development

sweetnsaltyhfx.ca

Website for a soft-serve and snack shop on Saltyard Way in Halifax. Menu, seasonal hours, directions, and live local weather — a simple, fast site that gives customers what they need before they visit.

  • Local business
  • Live weather & hours
  • Mobile-first

Empowerment For Hope

Support work — fixes & maintenance

empowermentforhope.ca

Repaired and maintained the website for a survivor-led Nova Scotia nonprofit supporting people affected by gender-based violence and trauma. Kept consultations, donations, and event pages working reliably for an organization that depends on them.

  • Nonprofit
  • Bug fixes
  • Ongoing reliability

What I do

One developer covering the full stack, from the database to the server it runs on.

Fullstack development

Frontend, backend, APIs, and databases. I ship complete applications in Python and Node.js, end to end, and stay on for the maintenance.

Linux servers & hosting

Seven years administering Debian and Unix servers: provisioning, Nginx, deployments, backups, monitoring, and uptime. I host what I build on infrastructure I manage myself.

Real-time systems

WebSockets, event pipelines, and third-party integrations with TikTok Live, OBS, Spotify, and game servers. Built to move an action from a viewer’s phone into a running game in milliseconds.

Bot protection & security

I built an invisible CAPTCHA from the ground up: traffic scoring, machine-learning detection, and API-level protection against scraping and abuse.

Websites for businesses

Clean, fast sites for local businesses — menus, hours, booking, the essentials done well. Built to be easy to maintain and cheap to run.

Networking & VoIP

I run my own network edge: pfSense firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and DNS. I also self-host business phone systems on FreePBX — the toll-free line on this page runs on one.

Payments & AI integrations

Stripe subscriptions and billing wired into real products, and locally hosted AI with Ollama for features that need an LLM without shipping data to a third party.

Rescues & fixes

Broken site, failing server, or a project a previous developer left behind — I diagnose it, fix it, and keep it stable afterward.

About

I’m Wilhem, a fullstack developer from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I started managing Linux servers at fifteen and never stopped — seven years later, everything I ship runs on Debian machines I administer myself.

Under the ShibaLabs name I build and operate my own products: TikPlays, a live-streaming game platform, and an invisible CAPTCHA service used to protect real websites from bots. Alongside that, I take on client work for local businesses and nonprofits.

My background goes past the code and into the network itself. I manage firewalls, VPNs, and routing with pfSense, run a self-hosted FreePBX phone system, and administer everything over SSH from MobaXterm. On the product side, I handle Stripe billing and run local AI models with Ollama when a feature calls for it.

What sets my work apart is ownership. I don’t hand off a build and disappear — I run what I make, so I design things to survive real traffic, real users, and real 3am problems.

Tools I work with

  • Debian 12 / Linux administration
  • Python & Flask
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL & Redis
  • Nginx & systemd
  • pfSense — firewall, VPN & routing
  • FreePBX — VoIP phone systems
  • MobaXterm — SSH & remote admin
  • Stripe — payments & subscriptions
  • Ollama — self-hosted AI models
  • WebSockets & REST APIs
  • Cloudflare
  • OBS & streaming integrations
